Lemongrass is a fast growing, tall, aromatic perennial grass that grows up to 1.5 meters in height. It is native to Asia, but is now cultivated mostly in the West Indies, Africa, and Tropical Asia. Lemongrass essential oil's uplifting scent neutralizes odour, refreshes the skin, and even helps keep bugs away. It supports healthy digestion, soothes aching muscles, tones skin and is cleansing.

How to Use: To create your own custom wellness, bath and body products. Choose any of Escents' scentless products or carriers and add 10 to 20 drops per 30ml or 1oz of product. You can also add 5 to 8 drops in an aroma diffuser to scent your space, deodorize and purify the air. 

For topical application: Mix 4 to 20 drops of essential oil with 10 ml of carrier oil. 

For local application: Apply to affected area up to three times per day.

For body massage: Apply once daily.

For Steam inhalation: Add 6 to 24 drops of undiluted essential oil to a bowl of steaming water/facial steamer. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5 to 10 minutes. Up to three times per day. Do not use essential oils undiluted.

Uses: Lemongrass is beneficial for the nervous system, skin care, hair care, circulatory and muscular systems, respiratory system, digestive system and reproductive system.

Nervous System: Inhale to help restore tired, exhausted nerves. Great for relieving stress and anxiety.

Skin Care: Strong antiseptic. May be added to cleanser for use with oily skin. Great for germ prevention and repelling insects.

Hair Care: Helps control oily hair and prevent lice infestation.

Circulatory & Muscular Systems: Lemongrass aids in ridding the body of lactic acid to help ease muscle soreness.

Respiratory System: Use inhaled, as a rub or a compress to relieve sinus congestion from colds and flu. As an antiseptic, it helps to fight respiratory infections.

Digestive System: Stimulate digestive tract, helps ease colic and colitis.

Reproductive System: Aids the flow of milk when breast engorgement is present.

Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with vegetable oil/water. Do not ingest. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a health care practitioner.
